Boldon Community Park is now close to being finished. At the recent C.A.F. meeting on the 12th Feb. 2009 Gary Frazer informed the residents that this large scale play and recreation facility on New Road in Boldon has some equipment that has been designed for children with mobility difficulties.
It is hoped that with more funding ( approx £100,000 ) lighting and a possible "Skateboard Park " can go ahead. As part of the Playbuilder Programme, a national initiative for adventure playgrounds and new play spaces, Spring and Summer activities will go ahead on this fantastic Community Facility.
